Automatic Drum Filling Machines for 5–20 L Barrels

Barrel filling, capping and labeling lines by KIWL Machine

KIWL Machine builds automatic drum filling machines for 5-gallon (18.9 L) and 20 L barrels used in bottled water, beverage, edible oil and light chemical plants. Each line combines barrel washing, volumetric filling, capping, date coding and labeling in a compact layout that a two-person crew can run at 300–1200 barrels per hour. Lines ship CE certified with commissioning support in 70+ countries.

How a drum filling line is configured

A complete line runs five modules in sequence: a rotary barrel washer with brush and high-pressure rinse, a filling station with volumetric or weight-based dosing, a capping head for screw caps or press-fit caps, an inkjet coder for date and batch, and a labeler for neck and body labels. Modules share one PLC and conveyor, so operators control the whole line from a single touchscreen.

Capacity and model range

Line capacity is selected by your daily volume and shift pattern — from 300 BPH for regional water brands to 1200 BPH for metro-scale depots. All models accept standard PC/PC+ necks and can be adapted to pet food oil drums with heated filling heads.

Applications across industries

Most lines serve purified and mineral water depots, followed by beverage syrup, edible oil, and light-duty chemical packaging. For aquaculture and fish farm water systems, see our aquaculture machines page for drum filtration and feeding equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What capacity drum filling line do I need?

Match capacity to daily volume: 300–450 BPH suits regional depots, 600–1200 BPH suits metro-scale water brands. Our engineers size the line from your target output and shift hours.

Is the line automated?

Yes — barrel handling, washing, filling, capping and coding are automatic with PLC control; only pallet loading is manual on standard layouts.

Can the line run on generator power for African plants?

Yes. Lines are built for 220–240 V / 50 Hz and are commonly supplied with generator-compatible control cabinets for markets with unstable grid power.

What is the lead time?

Standard configurations ship in 30–45 days; custom layouts quote within one week.
